Day 8 Until Next Time

Our last day at John & Sara’s was spent wandering through the Dubuque Saturday morning market, restocking supplies, doing laundry, marveling at an overlook view of the Mississippi, buying cheese (Of course, it’s Wisconsin!), devouring a delectable homemade Thai dinner & enjoying tranquil moments on the back decks in perfect weather. Always a very special time spent with the Wagner’s. So grateful for their hospitality & friendship. Tomorrow we hook up DragOn & take off for our Sioux City campground on the Missouri.

  1. John & I returned to the museum today to see the William Black dredge powered by steam with 2 paddlewheels. It used 7,000 gallons of oil per day. Very impressive. John's brother was Director of Education on the project & was instrumental in the development of the Mississippi museum
