Woke up to 3 deer and a prairie dog outside our camper while we were camped in the brewery parking lot. Surprising how much wildlife is comfortable living in or wandering through these western towns.Made it to Idaho! Land of potatoes and 72 precious and semi-precious stones that some cannot be found anywhere else in the world which is why it’s called the Gem State. Short 2.5 hour ride to Coeur d’Alene so we had time to set up camp in Wolflodge RV Park and explore a little of the city. The sunny weather is a welcome change. After getting information from the Chamber of Commerce, we walked the marina boardwalk and the historic downtown before returning to our campground. The sparkling lake is much bigger than we expected. Supposedly a lot of celebrities have homes on or near Coeur d’Alene Lake such as John Elway, Wayne Gretzky, Matthew McConaughhey, Lance Armstrong, George Clooney and Kim Kardashian is nearby. Who knew! There is a Iron Man 70.3 this weekend bringing lots of athletes, tourists and traffic. Tomorrow we hike Tubbs Hill, which is a scenic lakeside park near downtown.
