Woke up early ready to explore Tubbs Hill which is a 2 1/2 mile hike on a 165 acre peninsula that borders Lake Coeur d’ Alene. A moderately strenuous endeavor with lots of rocks but you are rewarded with the most magnificent vistas. The weather was a perfect 65° and sunny. Afterwards, we refreshed ourselves at a gallery & wine bar before having a delicious bowl of ramen at a local sushi restaurant. Went back to the campground to chill for the rest of the day. Walked around the grounds which are really well maintained with a meandering stream and plush landscape; but, unfortunately, it is just too close to the interstate. Tomorrow we are planning to take a boat cruise and exploring the outer areas of town…and maybe that wine bar again.
