Day 21 On to St. Simon's
The morning started out chilly with the sun prancing across the water. We passed the submarine base at Kings Bay and it was made very clear by the boats policing the area that we were to stay in the channel and just move along. The base is massive and we were lucky enough to see a submarine docked. The picture below shows the degaussing area where they de-magnetize the submarines. The sand doones at the tip of Cumberland Island were impressive. Easy trip past Jekyll Island. Tied up at a marina in St. Simon's. We are just about the smallest boat in our section - crammed in here like sardines. Google "charter yacht Magic" and you'll see who our neighbor is. Should be fun getting out of here tomorrow. Gary meeting us with a car and we are going to explore the area. I am having my first rum.
