Day 22 Taking Gary for a ride

Well, not in the bad way of taking a person for a ride. Friday night, we had a drink in the Club on Jekyll Island. After exploring Jekyll as much as we could before the rain storm, we ate the most delicious shrimp in a dive called Latitudes. The two places are only separated by maybe 400 yards, but they are world's apart.  Got to walk around and peek in some of the old mansions where the Rockafellows, Macys, Vanderbilts and other elite families summered. Left the marina around 10am this morning and headed for ThinkTom's Creek for an overnight anchorage. Passed acres and acres of Georgia marshlands. Living in Pinellas, it's hard to believe there's so much undeveloped land left. But after this anchorage, I can now say with certainty where "the middle of nowhere is". As we traveled north, came across these crazy looking jellyfish. At first we thought they were submerged crab trap balls, but there were hundreds and hundreds of them. We passed them for a good 3 miles. Cool breeze coming over the marshes and perfectly quiet - should sleep good tonight and then on to Savannah.
