The storm front came as promised in the middle of the night. The marina attendant said they had 8 boats come in over the entire weekend; however, since we got here, it is now full. Everyone is getting out of the bad weather. More soggy, expended boaters limped in this morning after riding the first part of the "comma" out last night. A resident told us that they call their fronts "commas" because the radar resembles one of our hurricane patterns but doesn't quite complete a full rotation - hence, forming a comma. Did laundry this morning - got in just in time. Half the marina got the same idea 10 minutes after I did deciding there was nothing else to do and lined up behind me. Their showers get a 1 out of 5 rating. They get a one because water came out of the shower head at a good clip - the only good thing. Instead of a handle to turn the shower on, it had a button to push. You press it all the way to the wall then it slowly came out and when it came all the way out, the water stopped. Then you push it again to get another 20 seconds of shower spray. Great idea to conserve water - terrible, annoying way to take a shower and wash your hair. John putzed around the engine room, while Jack cuddled with his "babies" on the dash savoring the few minutes of occasional sunshine. The sea planes are not as prevalent today, so it's a little quieter. Went to town to see Guardians of the Galaxy - good escape movie. Theater was maybe renovated in the 70's, but it was adequate. Just about every seat was filled - not a lot to do here on a gloomy, rainy day. Hope it clears enough to head to Bay Field Harbor tomorrow.
