Day 91 Still in Parry
Well, we almost broke free from Parry Sound, but the wind and waves are just too much to challenge again today. The weather is much nicer - it's 65 and sunny. Almost like an early March day in Florida, but with no palm trees. Hmmm, however there are a lot of Canadians around so it Is very much like a March day in Florida. (A little snowbird/tourist humor there) Anyway, the seas are almost 3 foot and the winds are 40 km (math problem - convert that to mph) and out of the west so we would be taking them on the nose making for a slow ride. John made the executive decision to stay here through the upcoming thunderstorms tomorrow and leave on Sunday. I was a bit disappointed until I saw Beulah Belle enter the marina basin - our fellow Florida Loopers who we had lost contact with near Echo Bay. They had holed up in a Port Rawson anchorage and rode out the last week there. So happy to see a familiar face again. The picture today is of Jack who must have gone a little stir crazy when we went out to dinner last night. We came back to find him with a piece of ripped gift bag around his neck. Lord knows what his thought process was, but he looks like he has a bib on ready for a lobster dinner. John scrubbed the upper deck this morning then later we walked around the grounds enjoying the weather. They have some different critters up here like chipmunks, groundhogs and little red squirrels. Also some scary looking bugs. Going over to Wally and Mary Sue's DeFever for some Bahamian Rum drinks and good conversation.
