Day 172 Mobile Bay

Leasurely, begrudgingly left our peaceful anchorage to head back to civilization. Followed the river to the very active harbor of Mobile. Been awhile since we've seen huge transport, cruise and naval ships. A couple new Navy ships were getting their finishing touches. Passed a large freighter as we headed out into Mobile Bay. Makes you realize that a 42' Hatteras is not that big. Neptune smiled on us and we had a smooth bay crossing to our marina escorted by a dolphin. First one we've seen in months. Made it to the Eastern Shore Marina which is a working marina, but at least we are under a covered slip for the coming inclement weather. Going to the nearby town, Fair Hope, for some fun shopping and dinner with some other Loopers. Staying here for a few days so more exploration tomorrow.
