Day 174 Rainy Day in Fairhope

Clouds welcomed us to the new day, but the predicted rain didn't come till 1pm. It wasn't a lot, but it brought rockin' and rollin' on Mobile Bay. We were going to head out tomorrow, but the locals warned us of winds and waves that would make our journey to the next anchorage very uncomfortable. Then John decided to have the rudder stuffing box tighten so we are in Eastern Shore Marina for one more day. While John did some chores on the boat, I ran to the grocery store - first beloved Publix since we left Florida. Not sure if you've ever noticed, but all Publix stores smell the same. The familiar scent hit me as I walked through the doors and I couldn't wipe the contented grin off my face the entire time I was shopping. It was clean, the staff was helpful, the deli and bakery food looked delicious. Oh Toto, we are not in Walmart anymore! Seas started rolling into the marina inlet and boats started swaying as night fell. Hoping it won't be too rough of a night. Obviously, the rocking did not bother Jack in his slumber.
