What a difference a day makes. Yesterday we were in shorts watching the Packets beat the Eagles then we woke up this morning to black skies and big winds bringing in another cold front. Started the day with a tornado warning and will end the day with a freeze warning. A tornado touched down just west of the marina around 3 this morning, but fortunately, we were just out of its path. If you look at pic 2 from yesterday and compare it with today's pic 1, you'll notice St. Andrews Bay got a little "angry" overnight. The marina put up a sign warning boaters that they are cutting the water off tomorrow so the pipes don't freeze. None of us Loopers are leaving any time soon since the weather is turning so frigid. As I sit here watching the boats rock, I can hear halyards clanging and the wind ferociously howling around the boats. We DID cross the Florida line, right?! Earlier today, the John's (3 of them - it seems to be the most popular name on the Loop) worked on the auto pilot and Sara and I walked downtown to poke around the cute shops. Just playing it by ear until this weather breaks. Added a couple pictures that Stell sent me of a warmer day at an idyllic anchorage.
