Day 138 Anchoring out again

Boated another long day to get closer to Green Turtle Marina where we have reservations for Thursday night. The Mississippi was turbulent, but the river is something we are glad we experienced. Our anchorage was calm and serene, but as you can see in the first pic, it was a challenge to leave. It was a beautiful day, but we know a front is coming. Hoping to make good time tomorrow. In the afternoon, we left the Mississippi and headed up the Ohio. You can see the difference in the color of the water in pic 2 - right where the little boats are. Brown to blue. Our speed took an instant dive from 13mph down to 6 or 7. We are now going upstream. The first lock had the wickets down and was under construction so there was no wait. Nice change. Pulled off the channel behind a sandbar for the night. A tranquil little spot. Bob and Duncan from El Nido rafted up to us again and we had a pleasant evening topped off with my now famous jambalaya.
