Day 142 Leavin' on a jet plane

maybe. . . After breakfast, we used the courtesy car to take our friends, Carol and Frank, to Barkley  Regional Airport in Paducah for their 2:37 flight back to Tampa/St. Petersburg. Since we can only take it for 2 hours at a time, we dropped them off, picked up some oil at the local Tractor Supply, then quickly headed back to the marina. John hung out with Jack in the afternoon and did some chores on the boat while I did laundry. Met a new Looper, Barb from the Sabre boat, Toba, at the laundromat and just as I finished, John's phone rang. Surprise - poor Frank and Carol were still at the Paducah airport. Their little United plane that flies to Chicago then connects to Tampa had been delayed. Since they had a 3 1/2 hour lay over in Chicago, just hoping they get out of Kentucky to catch their connection. Bob and Duncan also boated away this morning - hoping to see them again along the way. Duncan is poking his nose out of the fly bridge right above the guy filling Bob's tank. Love that dog. Weather was freezing last night as we went to the yacht club for dinner and drinks. Had a nice surprise - Sirens and Strings, a very talented local duo, was playing there and entertained us all evening. What a treat. Catch their YouTube, but make sure you get the correct group. Their names are Shannon and Michael and they are worth listening to. Weather continued to be cold this morning, but warmed to a gorgeous 75. Will collect more oil from NAPA tomorrow then figure out what we are doing next. Heading into Lake Kentucky at some point for some restful anchoring and planning on hooking up with Free Bird again.
