Heard the patter of showers on deck as we awoke this morning so it was a good day to lay around in bed. After a slow start, we . . . did pretty much nothing all day. Washed some comforters, got on the computer for a bit, ordered some stuff to be shipped to the next marina, walked around and visited some other boats, then at 5 pm, we hiked up to the Yacht Club to watch the ball game. Found out they don't get FOX, so didn't get to see St. Louis win. Met Gayle and Frank from Double Time and Barb from Toba there. Afterwards, we went with Double Time to Patti's in town for their famous 2 inch pork chop, sour dough bread in a flower pot and 12 inch high coconut meringue pie. There must of been a twinkle light shortage after they got done decorating this place. Very festive and waaaaay too much food and sugar, but had a good time getting to know new Looper friends. Sea Bird emailed me a picture of my John and her John in front of a "john". She's so funny. Tomorrow, Barb rented a car and she invited us to explore Paducah with her and visit their barge and boat museum. Should be a beautiful day.
